how we work

| principals | partners |

As MOTB operations are focused around client needs, management-led client teams are divided into two distinct disciplines, creative and production. The Creative Team, led by MOTB's President, David Newberger, is involved with new projects, including conceptual design ideation, prototype development, and materials specification determination. The Production Team, led by MOTB's Vice President, Allison Haftl is involved with all phases of manufacture, fulfillment and logistics for all client projects, both first runs and reprints. Clients have direct access to both teams to facilitate clear-channel communications between clients and appropriate MOTB personnel.

Clients engage MOTB’s Creative Team at the earliest stages of concept development. We work hand-and-hand with clients to flesh out key communication drivers; these in turn become the principal objective of the structure created. Concept renderings are prepared for client review; an “idea-dialog” ensues and concepts are refined further. Prototypes are then developed, along with materials specifications. Production budgets are provided, as are production lead-times. These refinement steps are repeated until a definitive solution is determined both from creative and budgetary standpoints.

Once a go-ahead is received, the project transfers to MOTB’s Production Team for execution. Precise artwork and printing specifications are provided, as well as detailed production schedules. We take into account client logistics requirements—down to special delivery instructions and carrier selection. Throughout the production process, MOTB management is involved to assure quality manufacture and fulfillment from start to finish.
